Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will lead the company’s HR function in the Philippines and ensure the effective delivery of people strategies and day-to-day HR operations. This role will partner closely with business leaders, manage the employee lifecycle, oversee payroll and benefits administration, strengthen employee engagement, and ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR leader who can balance strategic business partnering with operational execution in a fast-paced organization.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership and Business Partnership
- Partner with business leaders to understand workforce requirements and align HR priorities with organizational goals.
- Develop and implement HR policies, programs, and processes that support business growth.
- Provide management with workforce insights, HR analytics, and practical recommendations.
- Advise leaders on organizational structure, workforce planning, employee performance, and people-related risks.
- Prepare and monitor the annual HR plan, budget, and key performance indicators.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding.
- Partner with hiring managers to define position requirements and improve hiring quality and turnaround time.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and recommend solutions for critical or difficult-to-fill positions.
- Build talent pipelines to support current and future workforce requirements.
Performance and Talent Management
- Lead the company’s performance management process and ensure managers conduct timely and effective performance reviews.
- Coach managers on goal setting, employee development, performance improvement plans, and difficult performance conversations.
- Identify high-potential employees and support succession and career development planning.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives based on organizational and individual capability gaps.
Employee Relations and Engagement
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, workplace concerns, grievances, and disciplinary cases.
- Guide managers in handling employee issues fairly, consistently, and in compliance with company policies and Philippine labor laws.
- Conduct or oversee workplace investigations and maintain complete and confidential documentation.
- Develop employee engagement, recognition, communication, and retention initiatives.
- Monitor employee morale, absenteeism, attrition, and engagement trends, and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Promote a professional, inclusive, accountable, and high-performance workplace culture.
Payroll Compensation and Benefits
- Oversee payroll preparation and processing to ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and timely payment.
- Review payroll inputs, attendance records, deductions, allowances, incentives, and final pay calculations.
- Manage employee benefits, leave administration, government-mandated contributions, and related employee inquiries.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, and other statutory requirements.
- Support compensation reviews and provide market-based recommendations to maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Coordinate with Finance and external providers on payroll reconciliation, reporting, and audit requirements.
HR Operations and Data Management
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, employment documentation, probationary reviews, transfers, promotions, leaves, offboarding, and exit interviews.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential employee records and HR system data.
- Develop and maintain HR policies, employee handbooks, standard operating procedures, and documentation templates.
- Produce regular HR reports covering headcount, hiring, attrition, attendance, payroll, engagement, and other workforce metrics.
- Continuously improve HR workflows, systems, controls, and service delivery.
- Manage and develop HR team members, where applicable, and ensure clear ownership of HR deliverables.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, DOLE regulations, data privacy requirements, and internal company policies.
- Monitor regulatory changes and recommend necessary updates to employment practices and HR policies.
- Maintain documentation and records required for government inspections, internal reviews, and external audits.
- Identify and manage employee-related, payroll, compliance, and organizational risks.
- Coordinate with legal counsel or external advisers when handling complex labor or employee relations matters.
Organizational Development and Change Management
- Support organizational design, restructuring, role clarification, and change management initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and employee adoption during organizational or policy changes.
- Implement programs that improve productivity, collaboration, leadership capability, and employee growth.
- Work with leaders to identify organizational challenges and develop practical people solutions.
