Sr. Industrial Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Drive capacity planning, bottleneck analysis, and manufacturing readiness to support production demand and factory ramp requirements
  • Lead industrial engineering studies and initiatives to optimize labor productivity, machine utilization, and manufacturing efficiency
  • Develop and maintain simulation / analytical models for factory planning, scenario analysis, and decision support
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Planning, and Finance teams to evaluate CapEx requirements, cost models, and business cases
  • Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to improve cycle time, throughput, cost, and operational performance
  • Support manufacturing automation and digitalization initiatives including MES / system enhancements where applicable
  • Lead cross-functional projects and drive implementation of process / system improvements with measurable business impact
  • Establish and maintain IE standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization
  • Mentor junior engineers / peers and contribute to development of IE team capability

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years of Industrial Engineering experience, preferably in semiconductor or other high-volume manufacturing environments
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Industrial Engineering methodologies, including:
    • Work Measurement and Flow Analysis
      • Time study / labor optimization
      • Cycle time analysis
      • WIP profiling and flow optimization
    • Capacity and System Modeling
      • Capacity planning and bottleneck analysis
      • Factory / production simulation and modeling
      • Manufacturing system optimization
    • Business and Execution
      • Costing and business case analysis
      • CapEx planning and justification
      • Factory ramp planning and execution
  • Proven experience in designing and optimizing complex manufacturing / operational systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret and leverage data for decision making
  • Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects and driving implementation in fast-paced environments
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills

Desired Experience and Skills

Technical Competencies

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query; VBA/Macros preferred) and PowerPoint for data analysis and executive reporting
  • Working knowledge of data visualization / reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent business intelligence platforms
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and manufacturing automation / digitalization platforms
  • Familiarity with simulation / modeling software for manufacturing or operations analysis (e.g., Arena, FlexSim, AnyLogic, Simio, or equivalent)
  • Working knowledge of engineering / layout design tools such as AutoCAD for facility / line / equipment layout planning
  • Familiarity with statistical / analytical tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, or equivalent) is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt / Black Belt preferred)
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing environments (wafer fabrication, assembly, test, or advanced packaging) is an advantage
