Sr. Info Security Engineer Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily cybersecurity operations, including security monitoring, incident response, investigations, and remediation activities.

• Serve as the primary security contact for client stakeholders, addressing security concerns, escalations, and operational issues.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate cybersecurity risks.

• Support implementation and maintenance of security controls, policies, and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry frameworks such as HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, and ISO standards.

• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews.

• Monitor and report security performance metrics, SLAs, and KPIs.

• Manage client relationships, drive customer satisfaction, and support business reviews and strategic discussions.

• Partner with leadership teams on security initiatives, operational improvements, and service delivery enhancements.

• Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and third-party security compliance activities.

• Mentor junior security team members and promote a strong security culture.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, MIS, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations, Information Security, Risk Management, or a related field.

• Strong experience in stakeholder management and working with cross-functional technical teams.

• Experience managing security incidents, investigations, and risk mitigation initiatives.

• Strong understanding of security and compliance frameworks including:

  • HIPAA

  • HITRUST

  • NIST

  • ISO Security Standards

• Experience presenting security initiatives, risks, and metrics to business and technical stakeholders.

• Strong client-facing, account management, or relationship management experience.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
