Sr. IT Infrastructure Specialist (Contract; HKD35k – 45k; Immediately available)

Salary: $35,000 – $45,000 per month

Our client is a rapidly-growing group with investment and funded to nurture the world's leading startups and enterprises, is now seeking an Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist (Contract; Immediately available) to support the IT Infrastructure projects and services.ho thrives in active site deployments, campus fit-outs, and server room / Data Center operations.

You will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure management and on-site contractor coordination, ensuring our facilities and server rooms meet strict security, performance, and cabling standards.

Responsibilities

• Site Infrastructure Deployment & Modernization: Lead and support physical server room setups, rack layout designs, PDU installations, and structured cabling (fiber and copper) for both office fit-outs and innovation park facilities.

• Vendor & Contractor Management: Supervise external cabling, AV/ELV contractors, and IT vendors. Monitor project progress, review Proofs of Concept (POC/POV), and enforce high standards of workmanship, safety, and milestone delivery.

• Daily Infrastructure Support & Operations: Assist in the daily operations, system maintenance, and performance monitoring of core IT infrastructure. Ensure stable service delivery and rapid incident resolution in alignment with governance standards.

• Documentation & Asset Management: Maintain accurate infrastructure records, including server room rack elevation diagrams, single-line diagrams, patching schedules, asset inventories, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Compliance & Governance: Partner with internal IT Security teams to enforce cybersecurity, access controls, data protection, and vulnerability mitigation across all site facilities.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• 4–6 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure project coordination, data center/server room setups, and structured cabling implementations.

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Solid hands-on experience in server room racking, PDU management, and physical network patching (fiber/copper).

  • Good working knowledge of enterprise networking (Cisco switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi APs) and core systems (Microsoft Entra ID, M365, server virtualization).

• Proven track record in supervising site fit-outs, ELV contractors, and managing UAT through to production rollout.

• Certifications (Bonus): CCNA, CDCP, BICSI, or ITIL certifications are an advantage.

• Excellent written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

• Work Location & Mobility: Willing and physically fit to perform mandatory on-site duties in Lok Ma and/or Science Park area.
