Job Responsibilities

• Provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high‑quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
• Serves as a function‑wide subject‑matter expert in one or more areas of focus
• Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firm‑wide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Influences peers and project decision‑makers to consider the use and application of leading‑edge technologies
• Adds to the team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience
• Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
• 10+ years of Java full‑stack development experience with 3+ years of proven technical leadership
• Expert‑level proficiency in RESTful API design and implementation using Java 11+, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Hibernate/JPA
• Strong front‑end development skills in React and a solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, version control (Git), and DevOps practices; familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Strong understanding of software design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean‑code practices; microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Proficiency in AI‑assisted coding using tools such as GitHub Copilot and ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI‑generated code for quality, security, and performance
• Strong prompt‑engineering skills with the ability to craft effective prompts for Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate accurate, efficient, and secure code
• Experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate development workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and enhance team productivity

• Demonstrated ability to balance hands‑on technical work with leadership responsibilities
• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within scope
