Sr. Linehaul Manager - Middle Mile Transportation_EL

Role Overview
Coupang is seeking an experienced Linehaul Manager to lead and optimize middle-mile transportation operations. In this role, you will oversee total truck transport (Inbound + Outbound) across Coupang Fulfillment Centers (FC), Hubs, and Camps. You will build operational process standards, establish Level of Service (LOS) metrics, drive data-backed cost reductions, and align cross-functional teams to support scalable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Linehaul Strategy & Operations: Plan, execute, and optimize trunk/linehaul routes across all Coupang logistics networks. Improve dispatch efficiency, route linkage, and truck capacity to drive continuous cost savings.
• Systems & Dispatch Management: Utilize transportation systems (TMS/WMS) to manage daily truck dispatches and maintain real-time operational communication with FCs, Hubs, Camps, and 3PL partners.
• Performance & Vendor Management: Define, monitor, and improve Level of Service (LOS) and transport KPIs. Manage 3PL transportation partners, oversee route-by-route performance, and handle settlement processes.
• Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Alignment: Lead strategic middle-mile initiatives to standardize transport workflows. Collaborate continuously with SCM, CFS, Retail, and Hub Ops to resolve operational bottlenecks.
• Executive Reporting: Analyze complex logistics data to build actionable KPI frameworks and present operational insights to senior leadership.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree (4-year university) or higher.
• Work Experience: 10+ years of experience in logistics and transportation management.
• Leadership Experience: 2+ years of team/people management experience (Team Lead, Section Manager, or equivalent).
• Process Planning & KPI Management: 2+ years of experience in logistics process design, operational KPI tracking, and direct executive/C-level reporting.
• Shift Flexibility: Standard day shift, with flexibility to support peak season operational demands or alternative shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry Background: Prior experience in E-commerce, Retail supply chain, or Express Parcel/3PL transportation companies.
• Academic Background: Major in Logistics, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
• Technical & Data Skills: Proficiency in SQL, advanced Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for logistics analytics.
• System Implementation: Hands-on experience using, building, or participating in the development of TMS, BMS, or WMS platforms.
• Communication: Strong cross-functional communication skills with business level English proficiency.
