Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering

The Sr Manager, Cybersecurity Engineering will provide strategic and technical leadership to strengthen cybersecurity across applications, platforms, and cloud environments.
This role partners with stakeholders across the organization to embed security standards into development practices and technology initiatives.
You will architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate cybersecurity solutions that protect systems and strengthen customer trust.
The position combines hands-on security expertise with organizational influence, requiring you to champion secure engineering practices and promote a strong security culture.
You will assess emerging threats, research evolving attack techniques, and determine how new risks could affect the organization's technology environment.
The role also requires deep knowledge of secure software development, code review, threat modeling, cloud security, and industry compliance standards.

Accountabilities
- Lead stakeholder management and engagement for cybersecurity engineering initiatives across multiple levels of the organization.
- Champion cybersecurity standards and assist application and engineering teams in implementing secure development practices.
- Promote security awareness and serve as a cybersecurity advocate across technology and business teams.
- Build and strengthen a security-focused culture that supports application safety, operational resilience, and customer trust.
- Architect, design, implement, support, and evaluate cybersecurity engineering solutions and services.
- Partner with engineering and technology teams to integrate security controls and practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide guidance on secure coding practices, security methodologies, threat modeling, and application security architecture.
- Conduct and oversee security code reviews to identify vulnerabilities and recommend effective remediation strategies.
- Evaluate cybersecurity risks and recommend appropriate controls, technologies, and processes to mitigate threats.
- Monitor, research, and analyze emerging cyberattacks, vulnerabilities, and threat techniques and assess their potential impact on the organization's environments.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives across cloud computing environments, ensuring appropriate cloud security practices and controls are implemented.
- Help teams align cybersecurity engineering practices with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Apply security knowledge across frameworks and regulations including SOX, GDPR, NIST, and ISO standards.
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to balance security requirements with application, infrastructure, and business objectives.
- Continuously evaluate cybersecurity solutions and services to identify opportunities for improving security effectiveness and organizational resilience.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of cybersecurity experience.
- At least 5 years of experience architecting secure development practices.
- At least 5 years of experience conducting security code reviews.
- At least 5 years of experience securing coding practices, threat modeling, and/or applying established security methodologies.
- At least 5 years of experience working with applicable compliance regulations and standards, including SOX, GDPR, NIST, and ISO.
- At least 5 years of experience working with cloud computing and cloud security.
- Experience requirements may be satisfied concurrently.
- Strong understanding of application security, secure software development, vulnerability management, and cybersecurity engineering principles.
- Demonstrated ability to translate security requirements into practical technical solutions and engineering practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical teams and organizational leaders.
- Ability to research and interpret emerging cybersecurity threats and assess their relevance to enterprise environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment capabilities.
- Ability to balance security, usability, business requirements, and technical constraints when developing cybersecurity solutions.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Must be able to work remotely from within the United States.
