What Will You Be Doing?
The Sr. Manager, Fleet Planning & Strategy is tasked with owning recurring and ad-hoc analyses for Frontier’s current fleet. The Sr. Manager is a leader within the FP&A group and will be a liaison working with the maintenance team to combine financial and operational planning to optimize economic outcomes. As a new role, the Sr. Manager will work with all relevant internal stakeholders to define opportunities for the Fleet Planning & Strategy team and develop the group as the airline continues to grow and evolve. This role is considered a subject matter expert on Frontier’s fleet, maintenance agreements, lessor agreements, and company strategy and will be a key player in building and executing the company’s current fleet plan while also spearheading alternative plans as the business environment changes.
In this role, you will lead a high-performing, nimble and innovative team. You collaborate closely with senior leaders across the organization. You drive the business’ financial strategy - coordinating across teams and embedding robust financial planning. You will lead strategic initiatives that continuously improve our financial and operational performance.
The role reports to the Director, Financial Planning and Analysis.
Essential Functions
- Strategic planning and innovation
- Identify and evaluate strategic fleet opportunities, providing recommendations to executive leadership including subleases, subfleet, lease extensions, informed maintenance workscope decisions (including timing, agreement, and lease return decisions) and other ad-hoc initiatives.
- This includes identifying opportunities for growth, cost reduction, consistency, and innovation in addition to risk identification and mitigation planning.
- Portfolio ownership and program management
- Oversee the maintenance of three-statement models of current fleet including airframe and engines to inform short and long-term forecasting and fleet strategy.
- Become the point person for short and long-term shop heavy maintenance shop visit expectations and corresponding cash flows.
- Manage company-wide bi-weekly fleet brief and register.
- Stakeholder alignment
- Leads and executes cross functionally – including FP&A, Fleet, Sourcing, Network/Schedule Planning, Maintenance, Accounting, and Engineering, and other relevant stakeholders – facilitates consistent communication and alignment of goals across the organization.
- Team leadership
- Fulfill current gaps in fleet management while also working to identify and execute on future opportunities for the organization: ensure appropriate alignment of fleet responsibilities amongst cross-functional teams, ensure resources are appropriate for upcoming business needs, etc.
- Manage and mentor direct reports and others on the FP&A team, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential at Frontier.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Prefer degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or other quantitative fields
- 6+ years of experience working in finance, consulting, operations management, or other related fields and functions.
- 4+ years of direct people leadership experience
- Experience with data analytics (e.g. SQL, Python) and/or data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau) is beneficial
- Prior airline industry experience is beneficial

- Comfort coordinating, collaborating with and presenting to all levels of management, including senior C-suite executives.

- A passion for people development and strong people management skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple workstreams, balance resources against business needs, and manage complex projects with numerous stakeholders.

Salary Range:
- $135,000 - $165,000 Please note: this posting has a closing date of on or before midnight 9.30.26 MT.
