Sr. Manager, GaN Product Engineering

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Own day-to-day execution of assigned GaN product engineering and new product development programs from concept through formal product release using the APQP framework and disciplined milestone execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed program plans including scope, milestones, deliverables, ownership, dependencies, qualification gates, datasheet inputs, test readiness, and release criteria.
  • Track execution versus plan and proactively identify schedule, yield, qualification, test, reliability, manufacturing, and product readiness risks; drive risk mitigation with cross-functional owners.
  • Lead product engineering activities supporting NPI from development through production release, including electrical characterization, parametric analysis, yield monitoring, reliability evaluation, test limit development, and process window definition.
  • Perform and guide characterization of GaN power devices including breakdown voltage, leakage, dynamic RDS(on), switching performance, gate drive behavior, switching loss, and application-relevant performance metrics.
  • Support evaluation, qualification, and production release of GaN technologies including 650 V GaN, 100 V GaN, and related wide bandgap power device platforms.
  • Drive definition of CP, FT, QC, characterization with technology and test engineering,
  • Execute qualification plans and review reliability data to ensure product robustness, datasheet alignment, customer readiness, and release readiness.
  • Drive creation and review of preliminary datasheets, final datasheet inputs, characterization reports, reliability summaries, and supporting product release documentation.
  • Translate device, test, reliability, and manufacturing behavior into actionable guidance for applications, systems, customers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to product engineering and NPI engineers and support transition of released products to sustaining teams.
  • Own sustaining engineering activities for released products, including yield monitoring, test and manufacturing issues, reliability concerns, customer returns, corrective actions, and product change management.
