This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Manager (.NET) based in India.

This is an opportunity to lead a talented, diverse engineering team building next-generation technology platforms using .NET and Angular. You will combine strong people leadership with hands-on technical direction, helping teams deliver stable, scalable, high-performing solutions. The role offers significant influence over engineering practices, architecture, product delivery, and organizational strategy. You will work closely with Product, Technology, Service, Delivery, and global engineering teams to turn complex business needs into effective solutions. As a servant leader, you will coach and develop engineers while fostering a culture of curiosity, accountability, continuous learning, and excellence. This is a fast-paced, international environment where your leadership and technical expertise will have a direct impact on both the team and the products they deliver.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop a diverse team of software engineers, supporting their professional growth and creating an environment where they can perform at their best.
  • Provide technical leadership for the development of next-generation platform components using technologies such as .NET, C#, Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
  • Partner with Product and Technology leaders to understand business initiatives, solve complex technical challenges, and deliver high-value solutions.
  • Collaborate with engineering and research teams across the organization and globally to ensure systems and services remain stable, scalable, performant, and aligned with customer expectations.
  • Manage an engineering team directly while maintaining strong communication and transparency with other engineering managers and stakeholders.
  • Establish and promote engineering best practices through code reviews, architectural reviews, technical discussions, and continuous coaching.
  • Support Agile delivery practices and contribute to both tactical execution and strategic decisions concerning the future direction of the engineering organization.
  • Work closely with Product, Service, and Delivery teams to ensure consistent customer value and a high standard of delivery excellence.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback and recognition to team members and colleagues, encouraging continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Identify learning and development opportunities, nurture a data-driven and learn-it-all culture, and ensure team achievements are recognized and celebrated.
  • Act as a servant leader who empowers engineers through coaching, trust, accountability, and collaboration rather than command-and-control management.
  • Requirements:

    • University degree or comparable qualification, combined with 10+ years of technical engineering experience and strong coding experience in technologies including .NET/C#, TypeScript, Angular, and JavaScript.
    • Demonstrated experience managing Agile engineering teams, including responsibility for 5+ direct reports.
    • Strong people-management, mentoring, coaching, and team-development capabilities, with a proven ability to build high-performing engineering teams.
    • Excellent communication skills, a pragmatic and action-oriented approach, and a strong results-driven mindset.
    • A high level of ownership and accountability, with the ability to take responsibility for decisions and outcomes.
    • Strong organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple employees, schedules, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
    • Effective conflict-resolution and analytical-thinking skills, combined with the ability to make timely decisions in a fast-paced environment.
    • Very strong spoken and written English, with C1/C2 proficiency preferred.
    • Experience applying Agile principles and practices in software engineering environments.
    • International experience working with distributed teams across multiple time zones is preferred.
    • A specialization in either backend or frontend development, along with a strong interest in user experience and product quality, is an advantage.
    • A collaborative leadership style, customer-focused mindset, and passion for creating a culture of continuous learning and engineering excellence.
    • Benefits:

      • Full-time, permanent employment based in Bangalore, India.
      • Hybrid working model, with office presence expected on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and flexibility to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.
      • Opportunity to work on high-impact, next-generation technology platforms in a global engineering environment.
      • Competitive compensation and comprehensive wellness benefits.
      • Access to hands-on experience, real-world projects, and industry-leading technologies and tools.
      • Strong opportunities for professional growth, learning, and career development.
      • A diverse and collaborative international workplace focused on innovation and continuous improvement.
      • A people-first culture designed to support employee success both professionally and personally.
      • Equal-opportunity employment environment where applications are encouraged from candidates of all backgrounds.
