Sr Manager PMO
General Summary
The Senior Manager Programs and Strategy provides oversight to the field quality function. The role oversees Managers responsible for leading and implementing Quality Management System eligible for certification under and ISO standard and strategy that support the goals of the business. The role is responsible for identifying trends within the function and formulating strategies to maximize profitability and address issues.
Primary Responsibilities
Manages at least 2-4 full time exempt teammates. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
Plans, organizes, staffs, directs and controls the day-to-day operations of the department; develops and implements policies and programs as necessary.
Develops and manages the department budget, ensures compliance and addresses variances and other budget concerns.
Sets department direction and insures timely and accurate data flow to senior management as required.
Assuring, establishing and implementing service surveys on regular basis with reporting to internal and external management.
Develops the roadmap and delivers operational direction to team on service quality and prioritize incremental opportunities to address across the FedEx Supply Chain network.
Leads the effort in executing quality program initiatives and supports the vertical leads in supervising implementation of quality plans. This role is responsible for identifying and documenting nonconforming items and assist with root cause analysis with corrective and preventative actions.
Manages relationships across engineering to support technical and quality issues.
Serve as leader to the team that will conduct internal and external audits on quality programs across the network.
Focus on operational execution, service delivery and service costs, KPI's and continuous improvement.
Provides leadership in using Quality Driven Management techniques within the business, encouraging use of analysis to drive decision making and development of improvements. Ensures team understands expectations and how information is reported and used.
Actively participates in leadership development activities, including succession planning, coaching, and individual development planning within span of control.
Assess and adapt to industry trends and changes, recommending changes or improvements within the Quality function as necessary.

Education/Experience
"Bachelors degree in related field & 8 years of experience OR Associate degree in related field & 10 years of experience OR 12 years of experience
6 years of supervisory or management experience"
Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, labor planning and forecasting, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
ASQ quality certification preferred
PMP® Certification is preferred
Demonstrated ability to interact effectively at multiple levels, in support of our customer relationships.
Demonstrated self-confidence, particularly with client relationships; strong relationship building skills.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, teammates, customers, and the general public.
A proven track record of mentoring and developing direct reports and subordinates.
Combination of office and on-site work with significant travel within North America (additional international travel may also be required)
