Sr. Manager - Procurement
TK Elevator is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Manager – Procurement in Atlanta, GA.
This role supports the transformation of the US Field tactical purchasing process to a strategy centric purchasing process and will initially manage team of five (5) direct reports. This position is also responsible for strategy development and execution, conducting strategic sourcing events and negotiating acceptable terms and conditions with Suppliers according to TK Elevator’s approved processes and to mitigate risk.
This role will collaborate and partner with the Strategic sourcing team & Centre of Excellence teams inside PSM to utilize all supplier sourcing agreements via our procurement technology platform. Specific direction from the Strategic Sourcing Team will be leveraged to maximize ROI on shared categories of spend.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for leveraging TKE’s spend (approximately $300 million) and leading strategic sourcing events for purchases related to US Field, modernization (MOD),
service repair/maintenance and new equipment (NI) to maximize savings
opportunities. - Manages a team of sourcing professionals to prioritize, plan, negotiate and execute
strategic sourcing events via eRFX/eAuctions etc according to TK Elevator’s
Processes to achieve savings targets. - Identifies and leads cross-functional and continuous improvement activities.
- Monitors supplier Key Performance Indicators including on Safety, Quality, Cost and
OTIF to mitigate business risk. - Consolidate and analyze data, draw conclusions, and communicate recommended
solutions to drive business performance. - Drive spend compliance into established supply chain strategies.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing, Field Leadership, and various operational
departments to advance the company's initiatives to meet company goals. - Implement a structured approach to tail spend management.
- Develop relationships with key internal TKE business decision makers to support the
creation of a world class procurement experience. - Develop new strategies to streamline processes and reduce cost.
- Data gathering, analysis and report preparation as required.
- Provides specialized purchasing expertise to support functions.
- Support the supplier development activities as required.
- Daily purchasing and material expediting, as required.
- Compliance with the company's business conduct guidelines
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields
- Masters /MBA: Preferred
- Institute for Supply Management (ISM) CPSM, CIPS or Six Sigma Black Belt: Preferred
- 10+ years of sourcing and supplier relations experience
- 8+ years leading Procurement teams at a Managerial level.
- 5+ years in the OEM elevator industry or similar business
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Oracle; Advanced Excel abilities (pivot tables, VLookup, macros, charting/graphing)
- Experience with ERP systems, Spend Data Analytics & Reporting, eSourcing, inclusive of eAuctions and contract management systems.
- Demonstrated understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, practices, and the value and use of procure-to-pay (P2P) digital platforms.
- Skilled at change management; well-honed “radar” for stakeholder management
- Exceptional persuasion and interpersonal skills in order to interact with suppliers, business leaders and all other internal stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audiences.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills including an understanding supplier contract management.
- Excellent managerial and organizational skills
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency to deliver
results.
