Sr. Manager, Promotional Material Management
Overview
The Senior Manager, Promotional Material Management leads the promotional review process and oversees the Coordinators within the Promotional Materials Management team, a key function within US Marketing Operations. This role provides critical operational leadership for the Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review / Commercial Review Board (CRB) processes, ensuring proactive management of day-to-day operations while driving continuous process and technology enhancements within Veeva PromoMats. The role also supports the development of the promotional material management strategy and leads its tactical execution.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of Coordinators (1-3 direct reports) supporting day-to-day CRB operations, fostering retention and motivation through personal development plans and targeted training while driving enhanced processes and technology solutions to achieve business objectives.
- Evaluate and optimize the MLR/CRB review board model across brands, including resourcing, meeting cadence, and duration, to ensure operational efficiency, scalability and compliance.
- Lead project management for Veeva PromoMats enhancement initiatives; partnering with managed services to oversee solution design, build, implementation, testing, and rollout.
- Partner with Content Supply Chain to align content readiness and review requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify process and technology gaps; continuously evaluate and evolve operational processes and systems to ensure optimal efficiency and quality.
- Partner with Marketing teams to understand brand priorities, proactively manage volume forecasts, and align capacity and resourcing with evolving business needs.
- Enhance and utilize MLR operational metrics and insights to identify opportunities for process optimization; implement enhancements informed by data, industry best practices, and stakeholder feedback.
- Manage updates to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); ensure adherence to the SOP for promotional material review, monitor compliance, and facilitate remediation activities as necessary.
- Participate in vendor Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), providing feedback on areas of operational efficiency.
- Support vendor contracting activities, including Statement of Work (SOW) development and purchase order creation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 5–8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical / biotech Marketing Operations, Promotional Review / MLR, Content Operations, or related functions.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end medical, legal, and regulatory (MLR) review process.
- Hands-on experience with Veeva Vault PromoMats and product launches.
- Experience driving workflow optimization, automation, and operational process improvement initiatives.
- Strong organization, communication, stakeholder management, and execution skills.
- Strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotion, pharma industry guidelines, and compliance-related topics.

The pay range below reflects the full-time base salary range we expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. Base pay will be determined based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education. This role is eligible for an annual short-term incentive award (e.g., bonus or sales incentive) and an annual long-term incentive award (e.g., equity).
