The role focuses on mechanical systems and equipment associated with UPW, WWTP, ZLD, utilities, and process support systems. This position leads mechanical design activities from concept through construction, supports procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning, and collaborates closely with process, electrical, I&C, civil, structural, vendors, and construction teams. Extensive experience in mechanical systems for water/wastewater and EPC projects is required. The Senior Mechanical Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and acts as a key technical authority for mechanical design deliverables.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical engineering design development for a new build semiconductor plant, including UPW, WWTP, ZLD, and utility systems.

Develop and review:

Mechanical layouts and equipment arrangement drawings

Piping design, isometrics, and pipe specifications

Equipment selection and prepare data sheets (valves, pumps, air-blowers, tanks, cartridge filters, heat exchangers, filters, skids, etc.)

Material selection and corrosion allowances

Mechanical calculations (pipe sizing, pipe stress, friction losses, equipment sizing, equipment static and dynamic calculations, atmospheric tank calculation, pressurized vessels calculation)

Review equipment design and calculations provided by equipment suppliers and subcontractors

Ensure mechanical designs comply with:

Owner & Contract specifications

Applicable US codes and standards (ASME, ANSI, ASTM, API, AWWA, etc.)

EPC Project Execution

Interface with process, electrical, I&C, and civil disciplines to ensure fully integrated design.
