Summary
Leads the Social Services Department at a senior meal delivery nonprofit, managing social work staff, developing programs, overseeing budgets, and ensuring quality service delivery for seniors across the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky region. Full-time Monday-Friday role with day-one benefits including medical, dental, vision, and PTO.
Meals on Wheels (MOW) provides nutritious meals delivered to the homes and congregate sites of seniors in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky and Greater Dayton communities. The MOW program supports independence while promoting the social, physical, and emotional well-being of seniors. The Meals on Wheels Senior Manager of Social Services is a full-time, salaried position which will lead multiple functions of the Social Services Department. Primarily a Monday through Friday schedule. Medical, dental and vision benefits available day one. Ten paid holidays per year and paid time off accrual starts day one.
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provides leadership and oversight for the social services department. This role involves strategic planning, program development, staff management, and ensuring the effective delivery of social work services in line with organizational goals and relevant standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Leading, supervising, and mentoring social work staff, students and managers, setting performance standards, and fostering professional development.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of strategic plans for social work services, aligning them with the overall organizational goals.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating social work programs and services, ensuring they meet the needs of clients are effective and efficient and are following relevant regulations and standards.
- Participating in the development and management of budgets for social work programs and services.
- Monitoring and evaluating the quality of social work services, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing changes to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborating with other departments, agencies, and community organizations to provide comprehensive services and advocate for clients' needs.
- Identifying training needs for social work staff and implementing professional development programs.
- Representing the organization in community settings and building relationships with external community stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
