Sr. Mobile Application Developer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Mobile Application Developer based in the United States.

As a Senior Mobile Application Developer, you will design, build, deploy, and support customer-facing mobile applications across iOS and Android.
You’ll work primarily with the Ionic platform and modern web technologies to deliver reliable, intuitive cross-platform experiences.
The role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, including architecture, coding standards, code reviews, and engineering best practices.
You’ll contribute to applications that streamline the customer experience while ensuring strong performance, scalability, and maintainability.
The position involves collaborating across development, integration, cloud, and delivery environments to solve complex technical challenges.
You’ll also play an important role in testing, debugging, documentation, and continuous improvement throughout the application lifecycle.
This is a fully remote, 10-month contract opportunity suited to an independent and technically strong developer who enjoys solving challenging problems.

• Design, develop, modify, deploy, and support custom cross-platform mobile applications for iOS and Android using Ionic and related technologies.
• Establish and maintain mobile development standards, architecture principles, coding practices, and code review processes.
• Develop and enhance customer-facing mobile and web applications designed to improve the overall client experience.
• Build responsive user interfaces and integrate mobile applications with APIs, SOAP/RESTful web services, GraphQL, and other backend platforms.
• Perform benchmark testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across mobile applications and integrations.
• Work with CI/CD, source control, build, and release management processes to deliver high-quality software consistently and predictably.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation covering new features, bug fixes, application behavior, code, and data flows.
• Apply strong programming and engineering practices while identifying opportunities to improve application quality, reliability, and maintainability.
• Analyze complex technical challenges, develop effective solutions, and communicate those solutions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support cloud-based application environments and technologies, including AWS and related services.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience developing and implementing cross-platform mobile applications, with strong experience using the Ionic Framework.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript-based technologies, including Ionic, hybrid mobile development, AngularJS, jQuery, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Deep technical understanding of both iOS and Android platforms, including cloud messaging services and push notification technologies.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs, SOAP/RESTful web services, and GraphQL.
• Experience with CI/CD environments and tools such as Jenkins, ANT, Maven, and Nexus.
• Extensive experience developing mobile user interfaces and integrating them with application platforms and backend services.
• Experience with source code management, application builds, release management, and software delivery processes.
• Experience working with AWS and AWS-related technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to articulate complex technical concepts and solutions clearly.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently while effectively collaborating within a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and consistently deliver high-quality results.
• A continuous-learning mindset, initiative, and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Experience with IBM MobileFirst Platform Foundation is a plus.
• Experience with WebSphere Application Server and IHS Web Server is a plus.
