Summary

Senior network engineer owning OTS's enterprise F5 BIG-IP platform (APM, LTM, DNS/GTM): engineering application delivery, load balancing, SSO, and secure remote access, troubleshooting across network/server/application layers, and driving platform modernization. Hybrid role (3 days onsite) in Centennial, CO; Cisco/Palo Alto exposure preferred.

Description

Open Technology Solutions (OTS) is looking for an experienced engineer to lead engineering and technical ownership of OTS’s enterprise F5 platform. This is a hands-on opportunity to own critical application delivery infrastructure, influence technical architecture, and help modernize a highly available, secure enterprise network environment. If you have deep F5 expertise, troubleshoot across technology boundaries, and want to own a platform rather than just work tickets on it, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical owner for F5 BIG-IP, with extensive focus on APM, LTM, and DNS/GTM.

  • Engineer and optimize application delivery, secure remote access, authentication, SSO, load balancing, and high-availability solutions.

  • Lead end-to-end application troubleshooting across network, firewalls, authentication, load balancers, servers, and application layers.

  • Drive platform modernization, lifecycle management, monitoring, automation, resiliency, and engineering standards.

  • Partner with application, infrastructure, and security teams to resolve complex performance and connectivity issues.

  • Support broader network engineering initiatives, including routing, switching, firewalls, connectivity, and incident response as needed.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of F5 APM and LTM engineering experience is required.

  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, SAML, VPN, iRules, and application traffic flows.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot complex application delivery and network performance issues.

  • Broad enterprise networking experience; Cisco and Palo Alto experience preferred.

  • F5 certifications and financial services experience are a plus.

  • A platform-ownership mindset. You own the outcome, not just the task.

  • Collaborative and continuously improving. You leave the platforms you support better than you found them.

Compensation & Details

  • Compensation: $135K–$150K + 10% bonus

  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision; open vacation policy and paid sick time; up to 11 paid holidays; 401(k) with employer match and discretionary contribution

  • Schedule: Full-time. Includes on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance windows.

  • Location: Centennial, CO. Hybrid, 3 days in office / 2 remote.

  • Reports to: Manager, Networks

Sponsorship not available. Position only available to those with legal authorization to work in the United States.
