Sr.Plumbing Engineer

As a Senior Plumbing Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and implementation of plumbing systems for various construction projects. Your role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure efficient and effective plumbing solutions that meet project requirements, codes, and standards. You will also provide mentorship to junior engineers and play a key role in project management and client interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Engineering:
  

  • Lead the design and engineering of complex plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent systems.
    
  • Develop detailed plumbing plans, specifications, and schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
    
  • Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations, as well as industry standards (e.g., ASME, ASTM, etc.).
    
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (e.g., HVAC, electrical) to integrate plumbing systems seamlessly within the overall project design.
    

• Project Management:
  

  • Manage multiple plumbing projects from conception through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
    
  • Prepare and review project proposals, cost estimates, and resource allocation plans.
    
  • Oversee the preparation of technical documentation, including calculations, drawings, and reports.
    

• Site Supervision:
  

  • Provide on-site supervision and inspection during the installation of plumbing systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.
    
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the construction phase.
    
  • Conduct final inspections and testing of plumbing systems to ensure functionality and safety.
    

• Client and Stakeholder Interaction:
  

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders regarding plumbing-related aspects of the project.
    
  • Attend project meetings, providing technical insights and updates to ensure client satisfaction.
    
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on project progress, challenges, and solutions.
    

• Mentorship and Leadership:
  

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and drafters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    
  • Lead by example in adhering to best practices, safety standards, and ethical conduct in all engineering activities.
    

• Continuous Improvement:
  

  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in plumbing engineering.
    
  • Identify opportunities for innovation and efficiency improvements within the engineering department.
    

Qualifications:

• Education:
  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
    

• Experience:
  

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
    
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale commercial, residential, or industrial projects.
    

• Technical Skills:
  

  • Proficiency in plumbing design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
    
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, standards, and regulations.
    
  • Experience with hydronic systems, fire protection systems, and sustainable plumbing design (LEED certification is a plus).
