We are hiring a Senior UX Designer for our client — a product-focused company building AI-driven learning experiences for poker players.
We’re looking for a UX designer with strong poker knowledge who can simplify complex concepts into intuitive and engaging product experiences for recreational users. This role sits at the intersection of product design, behavioral UX, AI-assisted learning, and strategy-based gameplay systems.
The ideal candidate understands both modern UX principles and poker fundamentals, and can transform advanced concepts into clear, motivating, and user-friendly experiences.
Responsibilities
AI-Driven Learning Experience Design
Design end-to-end UX flows for AI-powered coaching and gameplay analysis
Create intuitive experiences for:Session feedback
Mistake detection
Improvement recommendations
Interactive drills and learning loops

Translate complex poker concepts into accessible user experiences
Present AI-generated insights in a simple, motivating, and actionable way
Product UX & Interaction Design
Rethink traditional strategy-heavy interfaces and create more intuitive UX alternatives
Reduce cognitive overload and simplify complex workflows
Design experiences focused on interaction and gameplay rather than static theory
Create wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and scalable UX systems
Define UX principles focused on player learning, motivation, and retention
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with product, AI/ML, and engineering teams
Collaborate with stakeholders to validate ideas and iterate quickly
Ensure product experiences remain clear, scalable, and user-friendly
Advocate for simplicity, usability, and accessibility across the product
Requirements
Poker Expertise (Required)
Strong understanding of poker fundamentals, including:Position
Bet sizing
Ranges
EV concepts
Recreational vs regular player behavior

Understanding of common player mistakes and learning barriers
Ability to think from the perspective of non-professional players
UX & Product Design
5+ years of experience in UX/Product Design
Experience designing complex digital products or data-driven interfaces
Proven ability to simplify highly technical or analytical systems
Strong Figma skills:Components

Experience with:Analytics-heavy products
Learning/coaching platforms
AI-powered interfaces
