Sr. Process Engineer
Description
The Senior Process Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and sustaining semiconductor manufacturing processes to achieve world-class performance in yield, quality, productivity, and cost. The role involves leading process improvement initiatives, troubleshooting complex manufacturing issues, driving technology transfers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support high-volume wafer fabrication operations.
The incumbent is expected to provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement programs that support business objectives, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Developing, optimizing, and sustaining semiconductor manufacturing processes.
- Improving yield, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
- Troubleshooting complex manufacturing and process-related issues.
- Supporting technology transfers from pilot to production.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives.
- Providing technical leadership and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborating with production, quality, equipment, and engineering teams.
Required Experience and Skills
Qualifications & Experience
- 1 to 5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, wafer fabrication, or related high-technology industries is preferred.
- Experience in one or more of the following semiconductor process modules is an advantage:
- Etch
- Thin Film (PVD/CVD/ALD)
- Diffusion
- CMP
- Wet Process
- Wafer Backgrind
- Wafer Bonding
- Metrology
