ACCOUNTABILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, project managers, quality assurance, business teams and technical support to provide a mix of business and technical direction on systems, design, development, testing and deployment.
  • Learn stakeholder strategy, tactical approaches, priorities, requirements, and business process.
  • Document business requirements and user stories, oversee and coordinate the development of technical specifications, and help enforce change control procedures.
  • Must take initiative to spend time with all levels of users (formal meetings, informal meetings, observing work, etc.)
  • Develop a strong Mouser business acumen and use it with each assignment
  • Understand basic agile software development methodology processes
  • Document basic business needs, user requirements and/or user stories
  • Participate in functional design process
  • Oversee development team backlog
  • Establish open and timely communications with interested parties, stakeholders, and teams.
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation for all assigned projects.
  • Must be seen as an advocate for the customers/users
  • Represents the company and Internet Business in a professional manner
  • Establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and external contacts.
  • Team player.

SKILLS & CERTIFICATIONS

Product Owner I

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline or experience that demonstrates equivalent expertise
  • Familiarity with ecommerce environments preferred

Product Owner II

  • Maintain and continuously build on an established strong Mouser and Ecommerce business acumen
  • Serve as a subject matter expert within established Internet Business value area
  • Demonstrated success in guiding an agile software development team
  • Eliciting and documenting business needs, user requirements and/or user stories, and supporting artifacts
  • Contribute to functional design of customer-facing solutions
  • Proficiency in maintaining a well-groomed team backlog

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline
  • 2+ years of experience as a software development business analyst, product owner, or equivalent position required.
  • Requires 1 year of experience with ecommerce environments.
  • For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle and problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on an agile software development team.
  • Proficiency in producing documentation including mockups, flowcharts, and other process diagrams.
  • Familiarity in working in and with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with setting and tracking goals.
  • Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Including the ability to communicate with people at all levels.
  • Product Owner certification preferred.

Product Owner III

  • Established subject matter expert covering broad value areas within the Mouser enterprise
  • Demonstrated extensive Mouser business acumen
  • Experienced leadership skills in driving the agile software development team to successful delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Primary and trusted conduit for internal customers to work with in order to define their business needs, and document requisite requirements, user stories, and supporting artifacts
  • Lead peers in learning and building Mouser business acumen, Internet Business processes, and product owner skills
  • Drive continuous improvements to further skills and product ownership practices

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline
  • 4+ years of experience as a software development business analyst, product owner, or equivalent position required
  • Requires 1 year of experience with ecommerce environments
  • For internal candidates, experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
  • Proven experience with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle and problem solving.
  • Proficient in managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Experienced in working in and with cross-functional teams.
  • Interacts effectively with individuals and groups inside and outside the organization.
  • Product Owner certification recommended.

Senior Product Owner

  • Sought out by others as subject matter expert covering broad value areas within the Mouser enterprise
  • Expert leadership skills in driving the agile software development team to successful delivery of projects and initiatives
  • Contributing partner to the product roadmap, suggesting strategic goals and initiatives for assigned domain through industry knowledge of leading practices.
  • Recognized as a change agent by all levels of the organization, supporting continuous improvements to further skills and product ownership practices, including individual development, as well as other team members.
  • Team subject matter expert.

Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical or equivalent discipline
  • Requires 6+ years’ experience as a software development business analyst, product owner, or equivalent position
  • Requires 2+ years with ecommerce environments (min 1 year of B2B experience required)
  • Internal candidates:
    • Experience can be a combination of internal and external experience.
    • Minimum Highly Effective performance in current role.
  • Expert with project management tools and methodologies, software development lifecycle and problem solving.
  • Expert ability to produce documentation including mockups, flowcharts, and other process diagrams.
  • Expert in managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams.
