Summary

Senior Program Manager in Amazon Japan Operations (Tokyo) who runs the GenAI enablement program across dozens of supply chain organizations — growing AI ambassador networks, designing learning pathways, running adoption campaigns, routing employee-built prototypes to engineering, and reporting on adoption and business impact. Needs program/change management expertise plus technical fluency.

Amazon Japan Operations is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead AI Enablement across our supply chain organizations, from first mile to last mile. Our team builds AI solutions for supply chain planning and operations, and runs the program that brings AI into daily work for corporate and operations employees in dozens of organizations. This role will drive AI literacy, adoption, and awareness at scale, so every team can use AI to improve how they plan and run operations. This role requires a leader who balances senior stakeholder management with hands-on program execution. It also calls for change management expertise and enough technical fluency to work alongside engineers.

You will run the programs, communication channels, and community mechanisms that make AI part of how employees work every day. This includes growing the AI ambassador network and onboarding new organizations. It also includes learning pathways that take employees from foundational AI skills to building their own tools. You will run campaigns, open sessions, and showcases that raise awareness of what AI can do and what teams have built, and partner with engineering teams to move the best employee-built prototypes into production. Success is measured by how many employees actively use AI and solve business problems with it.

At Amazon, you'll work alongside the latest AI and GenAI tools that are increasingly woven into how teams operate: from AI-powered capabilities that accelerate decision-making, to Generative AI that helps you focus on work that truly matters. You'll have opportunities and resources to develop AI fluency at your own pace, with continuous learning built into the culture.

Key job responsibilities
- Own the GenAI program across dozens of organizations end to end, from adoption through implementation to impact tracking, including targets, expansion, and roadmap.
- Grow the AI ambassador network: onboard new organizations and train ambassadors to cascade knowledge to their teams.
- Design role-based learning pathways and office hours, and embed AI skills into onboarding with Learning and Talent Development.
- Extend the program to operations teams and field sites, adapting formats to frontline schedules and peak periods.
- Drive awareness through open sessions, showcases, and community forums, sharing proven solutions out and bringing AI initiatives back.
- Run intake of AI requests, help employees turn use cases into proofs of concept, and route the strongest to engineering for production.
- Package proven solutions into reusable playbooks and a searchable catalog.
- Own monthly reporting on adoption, implementation, and business impact such as hours saved and cost savings.
- Partner with the worldwide AI program office, central AI security and training teams, and other Amazon Japan businesses to share practices.

About the team
We are a Tokyo-based team of applied AI engineers working on Amazon's supply chain in Japan. We build AI agents and data platforms that automate planning and operations work, and we run the program that helps teams across the organization adopt AI, put it to work, and measure the results. You will work with engineers, scientists, operations leaders, and worldwide supply chain AI teams.
