About the Role
We are seeking a Sr. Program Manager, Data Center Buildouts to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of data center buildouts across Low Voltage, Liquid Cooling, and Power Delivery systems. This role owns the buildout lifecycle across multiple concurrent sites, coordinating contracted labor and ByteBridge field resources to ensure installations are delivered safely, on schedule, and to specification.
The ideal candidate combines strong technical knowledge of low voltage, liquid cooling, and power delivery systems with hands-on program management experience, contractor oversight, and the ability to direct both third-party crews and internal field personnel in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
Work Location
Hybrid — Hayward, CA; Manassas, VA; or Houston, TX, with travel to project sites as needed (~25%, domestic and occasional international)
Key Responsibilities
Lead data center buildouts across Low Voltage, Liquid Cooling, and Power Delivery from project kickoff through commissioning and handoff
Coordinate and direct contractors and ByteBridge field resources during day-to-day buildout activities
Develop and maintain buildout schedules, staffing plans, and resource forecasts across multiple workstreams
Manage contractor relationships, including qualification, RFP/bidding, contract negotiation, contract management, and performance
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including pre-sales engineering, network, service delivery, and vendors, to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to specification
Serve as the primary escalation point for buildout issues, schedule delays, and field-level risks while driving mitigation plans
Review installation drawings, specifications, BIM models, and change orders to validate scope and identify dependencies or conflicts
Manage project budgets, purchase orders, cost tracking, vendor invoicing, profitability, and change orders
Oversee inspections and regulatory/code compliance for low voltage, cooling, and electrical work
Prepare executive-level program updates, including status dashboards, risk registers, and milestone reporting
Drive commissioning readiness and transition projects from buildout to live operations
Lead project closeout, including final documentation, punch-list resolution, and stakeholder sign-off
Conduct post-buildout reviews and incorporate lessons learned into future program planning and processes
Represent ByteBridge in customer meetings, site walks, and executive delivery reviews
Mentor and direct ByteBridge field resources and project managers supporting individual workstreams
Qualifications
7+ years of program or project management experience in data center buildouts, mission-critical facilities, or large-scale infrastructure environments
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent buildout projects involving Low Voltage, Liquid Cooling, and/or Power Delivery
Strong working knowledge of low voltage systems, liquid cooling infrastructure, including CDUs, RDHx, piping and manifolds, and power delivery/electrical distribution
Experience coordinating and directing contractors and internal field resources on active job sites
Experience managing contractors and vendors, including RFP/bidding and contract negotiation
Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets, cost tracking, and change order processes
Proficiency with scheduling and project management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
Ability to read and interpret installation drawings, specifications, and BIM models using platforms such as Autodesk ACC and Revit
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with field teams and executive leadership
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (~25%, domestic and occasional international)
Preferred Qualifications
PMP or PgMP certification, or equivalent program management credential
Experience delivering hyperscale or colocation data center buildouts supporting AI and high-density computing environments
Familiarity with liquid cooling manufacturers such as NVIDIA, Vertiv, CoolIT Systems, Motivair, and Schneider Electric, as well as low voltage and power delivery vendors
Experience directly managing internal field technicians alongside contractor crews
Experience managing geographically distributed buildout sites simultaneously
Background in commissioning processes for mission-critical facilities
