Are you ready to take the helm of Amazon's Contingent Workforce Program?! Your strategic vision and experience influencing VMS operational excellence will help shape the future of our existing and growing program!
As the Senior Program Manager, you'll own the operations and continuous improvement of the PATH contingent-workforce program and its underlying Vendor Management System (Beeline). This is a hands-on, high-ownership role at the intersection of workforce operations, finance, user experience, and program/platform strategy. The PM is the single-threaded owner of day-to-day Beeline platform health and a primary driver of user experience, invoicing accuracy, data integrity, and compliance across a high volume, global contingent worker population.
This role is both tactical and strategic, offering you the chance to think big while driving tangible results. You'll own a large program, influence technology and process decisions which will:
- Drive innovation in workforce solutions across diverse business units and geographies
- Pioneer new approaches to sourcing and program management
- Bring your ideas and experience to the role and lead those initiatives directly impact the success of the program
- Shape the future of work through innovative program strategies
You'll be joining at an exciting inflection point as we scale our program to new heights, with unprecedented visibility to senior leadership and the opportunity to influence decisions that will shape Amazon's workforce strategy for years to come.
If you thrive in fast-paced environments, get energized by solving complex problems, and are passionate about building programs that make a real difference, this role offers you the perfect platform to showcase your talents and advance your career at one of the world's most customer-centric companies.
Key job responsibilities
Beeline / VMS Platform Ownership:
- Own platform health: serve as the primary owner for Beeline configuration, stability, and recovery — diagnosing issues, driving fixes with the vendor, and keeping the platform of record accurate and reliable.
- Drive platform changes: scope, evaluate, and land cross-country workflow and configuration changes (e.g., approval workflows, IT asset ordering, intake routing), partnering with Beeline on timelines and impact.
- Translate program needs into platform requirements
Financial & Invoicing Operations:
- Own invoicing accuracy and resolution: drive invoice corrections (including region- and tax-specific issues) and partner with Finance on accruals and spend reporting
- Lead financial initiatives: manage program financial pilots and transitions, tighten the connection between worker data, spend, and headcount reporting
- Reporting collaboration include headcount, committed spend, actuals, and forecast
Data Integrity, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure data integrity: identify and remediate worker/supplier data gaps across countries
- Support compliance: build controls to enforce contingent workforce policies such as contractual agreements and tenure limits
- Contribute to Monthly Business Review providing inputs and program metrics for leadership
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner broadly: work across Finance, HR, Procurement, Tax, Legal, the MSP, Beeline, and the business to resolve issues and advance the program
- Mentor and develop: actively mentor peers and newer program managers and raise the operational bar across the team
A day in the life
Our fast-paced environment is exciting and no two days look quite the same! One minute you are troubleshooting a configuration issue or clearing a stuck intake queue, the next you're diving into an urgent compliance matter or jumping into a discussion about automation opportunities. You'll balance strategic planning with real-time problem-solving – reviewing optimization strategies, building an owning the roadmap while collaborating with the MSP on program enhancements, and presenting innovative solutions to leadership. You'll see the need to remain agile and ready to pivot as business priorities can and will shift throughout the week.
About the team
This role can be based out of NYC, Seattle, WA or Arlington, VA
You'll join the Contingent Workforce Journey team at a pivotal moment. PATH (Professional and Temporary Hiring) has grown to a $1B+ managed program and we're building the operational and platform foundation to scale it further — including service offerings and expansion into new countries. There's enormous room to shape how the program works and to grow with it!
