Seeking a skilled Project Engineer III to lead capital projects across East Texas. You will manage design teams, prepare bid documents, and ensure design concepts meet reliability, safety, and regulatory standards.
The role requires a PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months, plus 6+ years in water/wastewater with project budgets over $1M. Travel and strong communication are essential.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
- Professional Engineer's License (PE) in the State of Texas or ability to achieve within 6 months of hire.
- 6+ years of professional experience in water and/or wastewater and budget management of projects over $1M; wastewater preferred.
- Project Management experience preferred; PMI Certification a plus.
- Experience conducting field testing, data collection programs, and master planning for water distribution systems.
- Current Driver's License and ability to drive to project sites within the region.
- Provide direct project management support in the design and construction management of capital projects.
- Manage third party consulting design firms.
- Prepare technical, bidding and contractual documents for capital investments.
- Oversee scope and quality of work to meet design concepts, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a senior technical manager for water and wastewater treatment design and reviews.
- Conduct process evaluations and facility inspections to identify capital improvements.
- Develop standards and guidance for water and wastewater design and operation.
- Support Capital Planning and Asset Management to align with state needs.
