Job Summary
The Sr. Project Manager - IT is responsible for the successful delivery of Global Technology projects and programs. This position will lead, plan, execute, and deliver complex IT projects across the organization. The role requires leadership, technical understanding, and proven project management expertise. The Senior Project Manager will liaison with senior stakeholders and coach and train the project management team.
Essential Functions
- Lead and manage large, complex global or enterprise-wide IT projects, ensuring objectives and project deliverables are accomplished according to plan, stakeholder requirements, and expectations
- Lead all project-related plans and documentation, while adhering to PMO processes, guidelines, and tools for Initiating, Planning, Executing, Monitoring + Controlling, and Closing projects and communicating to stakeholders
- Act as a coach and mentor to other project managers and cross-functional team members, promoting and training in best practices in project management across the organization
- Work closely with project sponsors, stakeholders, and other cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define project scope
- Utilize appropriate project management methodologies to ensure successful planning and execution
- Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and per requirements, and ensure any changes are properly documented and escalated for approval
- Prepare weekly project/program status reports and distribute to stakeholders and leadership, as applicable
- Coordinate and facilitate weekly team meetings, preparing agendas, minutes and action items, and ensuring that project activities are kept on track and all tasks progress to completion
- Present project status in required meetings
- Present on PMO governance and project execution at PMI Community meetings and other forums
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Technology or relevant field
- 4-6 years Experience leading complex IT projects or programs, required
- Experience leading large-scale, cross-functional projects and programs, required
- Strong knowledge of enterprise applications, data engineering, infrastructure technologies, and business processes
- Strong knowledge of various project management methodologies and life cycles + knowing when to utilize them; Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, PMI, SDLC
- Proficient in project management tools; Jira, MS Project Pro
- Proficient in Microsoft applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint (presentations), PowerBI
- Ability to operate at a strategic level, ensuring projects align with business priorities and contribute to long-term organizational goals
- Ability to effectively present ideas and communicate to C-level executives
- Ability to coach and train project managers and cross-functional teams
- Ability to present on project management processes and governance in variance forums
- Self-directed, proactive, and able to work independently
- Ability to synthesize and simplify complex concepts and requirements to stakeholders and tie back to business objectives
- Exceptional time management skills with the ability to identify and manage priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and change management skills
- Excellent critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact with people of varying roles and seniority
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI PMP certification required
- SAFe Scrum Master Certification CSM certification required
Pay Scale: $125,000.00 - $135,000.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a bonus under the current bonus plan requirements.
