Sr Rebates Business Analyst
Job Summary
This role plays a critical role in managing and optimizing Medline's customer rebate and/or GPO programs. The Senior Business Analyst partners across Finance, Accounting, Sales, Sales Operations, and Divisional teams to ensure rebate programs are executed accurately, governed effectively, and aligned with contractual obligations and business objectives.Through financial analysis, contract interpretation, and process improvement, this position helps ensure customer program investments are accurately administered, accrued, reported, and paid while supporting financial reporting, margin management, contractual compliance, and continuous improvement across Medline.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
Calculate, validate, and process customer rebate payments in accordance with contractual terms and company policies. This includes analyzing rebate calculations, investigating discrepancies, preparing supporting documentation, and responding to customer, Sales, and management inquiries.
Establish, maintain, monitor, and reconcile rebate accruals to ensure financial accuracy and completeness. Analyze accrual trends and variances and partner with Revenue Accounting and Finance to support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
Review, interpret, and operationalize customer, GPO, and/or other commercial agreements to ensure rebate terms, eligibility criteria, and payment methodologies are accurately implemented and maintained within applicable systems.
Develop and maintain recurring and ad hoc reporting, analytics, forecasting support, and business insights related to rebate performance, financial impact, customer activity, profitability, and gross-to-net reporting. Partner with Revenue Accounting, Sales, Finance, and other stakeholders to explain results and support business decision-making.
Collaborate closely with Revenue Accounting, Sales, Legal, Contracting, Finance, Global Internal Controls, and IT to resolve issues, ensure contract compliance, support business initiatives and customer needs, and drive alignment between contractual requirements and operational execution. Communicate and explain rebate calculations, accrual impacts, financial results, and contract interpretations to stakeholders across the organization.
Maintain audit-ready supporting documentation and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. Support internal and external audits by providing analyses, documentation, and explanations of rebate calculations, accruals, and payments. Identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities to strengthen governance and compliance.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, automation, reporting enhancements, and system improvements. Partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify, recommend, test, and implement solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, scalability, and the overall effectiveness of rebate operations. Support strategic projects including system implementations, acquisitions, customer conversions, and business transformation initiatives.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or related field.
Work Experience:
At least 5 years of related experience or combination of experience and education.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (formulas, data manipulation, VLOOKUP)
Prior experience with SAP and/or the ability to learn SAP
Communication skills both written and verbal as well as working with others in different locations.
Attention to detail and organization skills.

Work Experience:
Interpreting contracts and translating contract requirements into operational processes.
Performing financial and data analysis to identify trends, investigate variances, and resolve issues.
Managing accruals, reconciliations, reporting, and forecasting support.
Working with large datasets to identify trends, resolve issues, and support business decision-making.
Cross-functional stakeholders to resolve complex business and operational issues.
Supporting audits, internal controls, compliance activities, or governance initiatives.
Identifying and implementing process improvements and automation opportunities.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
SAP, Vistex, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms preferred.
Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Alteryx, or other reporting and analytics tools preferred.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$79,000.00 - $119,000.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
