Sr. SAP Functional Team Configuration Lead

has an upcoming opportunity for an experienced, forward thinking senior level
SAP Functional Team Configuration Lead with a passion for growth and business
transformation. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Senior SAP
Functional Team Configuration Lead with Federal SAP Experience to join our
team, working closely with a Federal Government Client. As the Senior SAP
Functional Team Configuration Lead, you will be responsible for leading the
configuration and customization efforts of SAP modules within the federal
government domain. This critical role requires a deep understanding of SAP
functionalities, strong leadership skills, and the ability to ensure compliance
with federal regulations and industry best practices.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
- Experience in leading S/4HANA Requirement
Gathering Workshops, SAP S/4HANA Configuration, Custom Development, Cutover
activities, Data Migration, Testing, User Training and Hypercare support.
- Designing, building, testing,
and deploying SAP S/4HANA technical solutions, emphasizing RICEFs (Reports,
Interfaces, Conversions, Extensions, Forms) design and development.
- Lead a team of functional
consultants and configuration specialists, providing guidance, mentorship, and
support. Coordinate team activities, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely
and accurate configuration and customization of SAP S/4HANA modules.
- Demonstrate a strong
understanding of federal government processes, regulations, compliance
standards, and reporting requirements relevant to SAP implementations. Ensure
that SAP configurations align with these requirements and support the client's
business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with the
Federal Government Client's business users, project managers, and stakeholders
to gather and analyze business requirements. Translate requirements into SAP
system configurations and customizations, ensuring effective and efficient
solutions.
- Configure and customize SAP
modules, such as SAP Financials (FI/CO), SAP Procurement (MM), SAP Human
Capital Management (HCM), and other relevant modules, based on business
requirements and federal government regulations. Ensure proper integration and
alignment across modules.
- Collaborate with technical teams
to integrate SAP modules with other systems and applications, both internal and
external to the Federal Government Client's ecosystem. Ensure seamless data
exchange and interoperability.
- Ensure that SAP configurations
and customizations comply with federal government regulations, compliance
standards, and reporting requirements. Collaborate with compliance teams to
address any gaps and mitigate risks.
- Coordinate and participate in
system testing activities, ensuring that configurations and customizations
function as intended and meet business requirements. Collaborate with testing
teams to resolve issues and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Create and maintain
configuration documentation, user guides, and training materials to support
end-users. Conduct training sessions to facilitate user adoption and ensure a smooth
transition to new SAP functionalities.
- Build and maintain strong
relationships with key stakeholders, including federal government officials,
project sponsors, and business users. Engage in regular communication to
provide updates, manage expectations, and address concerns or issues.
- Stay up to date with the latest
SAP functionalities, federal government regulations, and industry best
practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and
optimization within SAP modules.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Extensive experience
(8+ years) as a Functional Team Configuration Lead or Consultant in SAP
implementations, specifically within the Federal Government domain, at a
Federal Government Client. DOD and DHS experience is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of
SAP modules relevant to federal government processes, such as SAP ECC, SAP
S/4HANA, SAP Financials (FI/FM/GL/CO/GM/AP/AR), SAP Procurement (MM), SAP Human
Capital Management (HCM), and other relevant modules.
- Strong understanding
of federal government regulations, compliance standards, and reporting
requirements related to SAP implementations.
- Proven experience in
leading functional configuration efforts, including requirements gathering,
system configuration, customization, and integration.
- Strong leadership
and team management skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team of
functional consultants and configuration specialists.
- Excellent
analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention
to detail.
- Exceptional
communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to
collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership
and government officials.
Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's or
Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a
related field.
Required Certifications:
- Certification
in relevant SAP modules or configuration methodologies (e.g., SAP Certified
Application Associate) is highly desirable.

remotely in the DC/MD/VA area
