Position : Sr. SME Backup & Storage

Roles & Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Backup Administration: Manage Commvault and Dell Data Domain backup infrastructure, policies, retention, and recovery operations.
2. Storage Management: Manage enterprise SAN/NAS storage, provisioning, capacity, and performance optimization.
3. DR & Replication: Design and manage backup-based DR, storage replication, failover, and recovery solutions.
4. Backup & Storage Security: Implement encryption, immutability, MFA, RBAC, and ransomware protection.
5. Performance Optimization: Monitor backup jobs, IOPS, latency, throughput, deduplication, and storage utilization.
6. Migration & Upgrades: Plan and execute backup software, storage firmware, and infrastructure upgrades.
7. Automation: Automate backup reporting, storage provisioning, and operational tasks using PowerShell/Python/APIs.
8. Troubleshooting & RCA: Handle complex L3 issues, investigate failures, perform RCA, and coordinate with OEM vendors.
9. Compliance: Ensure backup and storage policies meet business, security, and regulatory requirements.
10. Technology Enhancement: Evaluate new technologies and conduct POCs for infrastructure improvements.
