Position Summary:
- Kaseya is seeking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable SaaS products powered by Data, ML, and AI. You will own key product areas, build high-performance backend services and APIs, and work closely with Product, Data, ML, and Engineering teams.
- This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will write code, drive architecture, solve complex backend problems, mentor engineers, and deliver AI/ML-powered features from concept to production.
Required Qualification:
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend development expertise.
- Strong proficiency in Go, Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Rust, or similar backend technologies.
- Strong experience building REST, GraphQL, or gRPC APIs, backend services, and integrations.
- Experience designing scalable, distributed, and multi-tenant SaaS systems.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relational databases, caching, and data storage.
- Proficiency in Python and familiarity with data/ML tools such as Pandas, PyTorch, or similar.
- Hands-on experience integrating ML/AI/LLM capabilities into production applications.
- Strong understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure, containers, infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Experience with Docker/Kubernetes, CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and production systems.
- Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, data privacy, scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Proven experience owning complex technical initiatives and providing technical leadership and mentorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building AI/ML-powered SaaS products or customer-facing AI features.
- Experience with LLM-powered workflows, recommendations, automation, categorization, or intelligent routing.
- Experience with Kafka/event-driven architectures and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of MLOps, model serving, telemetry, feedback loops, and AI guardrails.
- Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar observability tools.
- Strong system design and architecture experience at large scale
