What you'll do

• Create and implement features for the AlertMedia Mass Communications product.
• Familiarize yourself with the AlertMedia platform and its applications for our clients.
• Utilize technologies such as Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, and React.
• Employ AI-driven tools like Claude and Cursor to enhance development, documentation, and productivity.
• Operate in an Agile environment with tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack.
• Contribute to the technological advancements that set AlertMedia apart from competitors by proposing innovative ideas.
• Collaborate effectively with other engineering and product teams using strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Help shape the culture, values, and future vision of AlertMedia.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as computer science, computer engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• 6-8 years of experience in developing scalable web applications, ideally with a focus on Elixir, Python, Django, or JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Linux-based containers, particularly using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or other cloud platforms is essential.
• Familiarity with storage technologies such as PostgreSQL and Redis is required.
• A proven track record of writing unit and integration tests.
• Active engagement with AI tools and modern development platforms to enhance engineering quality and collaboration.
• A collaborative approach to work, with the ability to partner with senior engineers and leadership to drive architectural improvements.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is necessary.

Nice to have

• Experience with additional programming languages or frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies beyond basic understanding.
