Role Summary
We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer – I to design, develop, test, and maintain software applications. The role requires independent ownership of features, participation in code reviews, debugging, and contribution to technical design decisions within an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software features and applications.
- Build and integrate REST APIs and work with SQL databases.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code.
- Debug and resolve issues across development, QA, and production.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, and technical discussions.
- Own assigned features/modules end-to-end with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with QA and other engineering teams.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of REST APIs, SQL, Git, Docker, and Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Understanding of HTML/CSS and React/Angular or backend API development.
- Familiarity with unit testing, JSON, NoSQL, and software design patterns.
- Ability to work across at least two layers of the technology stack.
- Experience using AI coding assistants responsibly is a plus.
Good to Have
- Exposure to Microservices / Event-Driven Architecture.
- Knowledge of Python, C#, or TypeScript.
- Client-facing or consulting environment experience.
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
