About the Role:
NETGEAR is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our Security Software Engineering team at the Taiwan Engineering Center. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for developing full-stack software in an embedded Linux environment for home networking WiFi products, with a strong focus on platform security hardening features.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software features with a focus on platform security hardening.
• Investigate and resolve security vulnerabilities in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including technical project managers and software engineers—to integrate security throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Use static code analysis tools to identify potential vulnerabilities in the codebase and implement appropriate fixes.
• Research emerging threats, attack vectors, and mitigation strategies relevant to embedded systems and home networking devices.
• Contribute to the development of security tools, frameworks, and automation solutions to enhance engineering productivity and ensure security compliance.
• Maintain clear, detailed technical documentation and provide expert guidance on secure coding practices to other engineering teams.
