Sem-Sol is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help us keep pace with demand. Our ideal candidate is not the keep-inside-my-own-cubicle type. Our ideal candidate must also possess a combination of technical and communication skills as developing documentation goes hand in hand with developing software.
Duties will include:
- Developing and documenting software for controlling directed energy systems and subsystems
- Implementing a software repository and formal software configuration control
- Presenting work at design reviews and conferences
- Interacting daily with scientists, engineers, technicians, and program managers
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. in software engineering or related field from an accredited college
- 5+ years of experience working on software control systems
- Working knowledge of software used in programming embedded microcontrollers, programmable logic controllers, and embedded computers
- Working knowledge of C# for developing user interfaces
- Previous experience developing software development plans
- Experience working in a research, development, or prototyping environment
Desired Skills/Experience/Qualifications:
- M.S. in software engineering or related field from an accredited college
- 10+ years of experience working on directed energy and/or pulsed power projects
- Active Top Secret security clearance
