Summary
Designs and maintains scalable data pipelines and warehouses to feed analytics, BI, and AI/ML models using cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
The Data Engineering Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data infrastructure and pipelines that support CBSI's analytics, business intelligence, and AI/ML initiatives.
This role focuses on building robust ETL/ELT processes, optimizing data architecture including warehouses, lakes, and lakehouses, ensuring data quality and governance, and preparing data for machine learning model training and deployment.
The specialist collaborates closely with data analytics, data science, and business teams to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions that drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualification:
5-7 yearsof experience in data engineering, ETL development, or database administration
3+ yearsof hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) building production data solutions
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field.
Training and Certification: SQL, Python, ETL/ELT, Data Quality, MLOps Fundamentals
2-3 Cloud Certifications: Azure + AWS or GCP
2 Data Platform Certifications: Databricks + Snowflake
Specialized Training: Lakehouse, Data Observability, LLM Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code
