Sr. Staff Data Scientist - QB Platform Marketing and Media
Intuit's Global Business Solutions Group (GBSG) builds the platform that powers prosperity for millions of solo, small and mid-market businesses. Quickbooks Online (QBO) sits at the center of this platform.
We are looking for a curious, influential, and deeply strategic data science leader with a passion for marketing to drive data science strategy to accelerate QBO growth.
This role will interface directly with Channel Marketing, Product Marketing, and Finance leaders and be expected to directly influence customer growth by driving data-backed perspectives against our marketing roadmaps and optimizing our marketing investments. This role will be expected to directly shape our full-funnel marketing campaigns.
Responsibilities
Drive Quickbooks growth by shaping the strategic direction of our full-funnel marketing investments (Brand Marketing + Performance Marketing) alongside Marketing and Finance leaders through decomposition of GTM strategy and paid media plans into measurable frameworks; identifying the critical assumptions underlying the plan, sizing sensitivity, and designing the measurement that unlocks them
Operationalize and execute marketing measurement through data instrumentation, reporting, marketing measurement models, experimentation, and other causal measurement techniques, powered by agentic systems
Synthesize business performance narratives for paid media, leveraging the full complement of marketing measurement tools to clearly articulate the unified understanding of performance drivers and headwinds against growth targets.
Identify opportunities through insightful analysis and operationalize motions to win against them
Unpack media channel contribution and drive continuous x-channel optimization to improve customer growth and marketing ROI
Own the data architecture and systems that power clean views on marketing performance; build and enhance with new data sources and technology integrations.
Build a durable understanding of our target audiences and the path to grow them via data-backed hypotheses and measurement
Qualifications
8+ years in data science or analytics, including significant depth in marketing, growth, or go-to-market measurement, with a track record of driving strategy and impact across multiple initiatives or business units.
Experience with both Brand marketing campaigns and Performance marketing campaigns, as well as unified measurement frameworks that integrate both together to power optimization decisions
Proven ability to direct growth roadmaps and influence strategy with data-backed hypotheses and measurement initiatives
Expertise in core marketing measurement techniques include advanced marketing models, experimentation, synthetic control, and channel attribution.
Ability to partner with XFN leaders and advocate for DS projects that require downstream dependencies, own program prioritization and execution of a broad portfolio of DS responsibilities
Deep strategic and business management thinking with domain knowledge on core finance, product marketing, and corporate strategy concepts
Exceptional tops-down executive communication: proven ability to construct a data narrative in dynamic situations with Director and VP-level leaders
Advanced SQL and Python, hands-on instrumentation and pipeline/ETL construction, and comfort working directly in large, multi-source enterprise data
Experience building and shipping AI agent systems for use by both internal and external teams
BS or MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Econometrics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced degree preferred.

The expected base pay range for this position is:Mountain View $210,500 - $284,500
