Sr Staff Engineer, Product/Program Management
Summary
Leads cross-functional teams to develop and deliver new semiconductor products (Power/Analog/Mixed-Signal) for industrial and automotive markets, managing schedules, budgets, and production from design to tape-out.
- Responsible for managing the development of New Products (Industrial and Automotive) and delivering on all program commitments from inception through execution to tape out and start of production.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure on-time project completion within budget constraints while maintaining high quality
- Drive cross-functional teams including design, test, product engineering, validation, marketing, systems, applications, operations, planning, various factories, and vendors as Program Manager to meet project milestones and objectives.
- Manage several key projects in parallel or singular large program
- Continuously reviews program progress, proactively identify risks and collaboratively develops and drives risk mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with cross-functional and peers from other business groups to drive collaboration and harvest best practices and lessons learned to keep the business group in sync with One Renesas methodologies, tools and systems
- Drive execution initiatives and process improvements at the functional, cross functional and business group level
- Monitor and report on project progress, including key performance indicators and metrics, to senior management and stakeholders.
Responsibilities may include:
- Collaborate and work in a team environment with Design, Applications, Test, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality and Reliability in all aspects of new product development, production release to accomplish goals and objectives
- Design bench evaluation PCBs (printed circuit boards) and generating characterizations programs for bench evaluations
- Perform evaluation, debug and characterization of integrated circuits to ensure they meet the product requirement specifications and manufacturing requirements
- Work with failure analysis (FA) to determine root cause of any reliability and qualification failures
- Knowledge of statistics and tools (example: Spotfire) to analyze large amounts of characterization data and determine and set production test limits and predict yield data
- Work with process and package technology development to develop and qualify technologies for new product development
- Work closely with the global manufacturing facilities to address customer specific product quality, yield management and cost reductions issues on mature products. Scope of work could include product spins and derivatives
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
7+ years of hand`s on technical program/project management experience leading cross functional teams to develop broad market or custom Power/Analog/ Mixed-Signal products for commercial, industrial or automotive applications with at least 10 years of experience working in the Semiconductor domain
Solid understanding of Semiconductor Manufacturing, Development and Management
Ability to work in a team setup comprising of other functional groups
Strong time management skills that enable on-time project delivery
Demonstrated ability to build strong, influential relationships
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
Ability to take the initiative and drive for results
Strong problem solving, verbal and written communications skills
Ability to multiplex between projects and be able to maintain project schedules
Familiarity with JEDEC / AEC Qualification standards
Familiarity with ATE tester platforms (Teradyne / Eagle)
Knowledge of statistics and tools (example: Spotfire) to analyse large amounts of characterization data and determine and set production test limits and predict yield data
Knowledge of back-end semiconductor processes like Wafer Fabrication, Bump, Packaging, Assembly and Test is an asset.
Working experience in a high-pressure environment, competing priorities and tight turnaround times.
Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills; Ability to lead technical discussions and summarize outcome for executive level status reporting.
Proficient with industry standard project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, DFMEA, Root Cause Analysis , Confluence, Microsoft OneNote
