Description
- Design, develop, and maintain IPMI firmware for storage server motherboards and related platforms, including X14, Top Loading with SAS4, H14, and NVIDIA CMX.
- Implement IPMI functions for sensors, SDR, SEL, inventory, and chassis, backplane, and drive status and control.
- Design, port, and maintain SAS expander firmware, including SAS4 expander firmware, and debug expander issues on SAS/SATA and SAS4 storage products.
- Define firmware features for the storage enclosures and align CPLD, schematic, and management-bus choices with the Hardware Senior Engineers.
- Integrate firmware with motherboard and backplane hardware, including CPLD, I2C/I3C devices, and expander GPIO.
- Bring up IPMI and expander firmware on new boards and support PoC configuration and verification.
- Own assigned modules, investigate critical defects, and root-cause them with the hardware designers.
- Align firmware readiness with the NVIDIA GTC 2026 CMX introduction, the SAS4 Top Loading release, and the H14 xAI release.
- Follow the relevant IPMI and SAS expander specifications for each product.
