As a Senior Systems Security Manager, you will play a key leadership role in shaping the organization’s security strategy. Reporting to the Director Systems Security, you will oversee high-stakes security projects, manage a team of security professionals, and ensure the organization's defenses are robust and scalable.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic security initiatives and policies.
  • Manage and lead a team of senior security professionals.
  • Oversee and coordinate high-stakes security projects.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • Monitor and respond to advanced security threats and incidents.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to security staff.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure security alignment with business goals.
  • Research, evaluate, and integrate the latest security technologies and practices.
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Report on security posture and incidents to executive leadership.
  • Coordinate and manage responses to SAP‑related security incidents, reporting per DoDM 5205.07 and internal SAPF/SCIF procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology or related Engineering field of study.
  • 11+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
  • Relevant experience can be considered as a substitute for the required educational qualifications.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews.
  • Knowledge of technical standards relating to systems security; experience administering UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems, experience with large-scale server systems, thin client architecture, system virtualization and other related peripherals.
  • Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) requirements as outlined in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DOD, ICD 503, Joint Special Access Program (SAP) Implementation Guide (JSIG) & National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) RMF.
  • Deep understanding of information security principles and practices.
  • Experience supporting SAPF/SCIF environments and coordinating with CSSOs and Program Security Officials.
  • Full lifecycle Assessment & Authorization (A&A) under SAP JSIG, NISPOM, RMF for DoD, and ICD 503.
  • Minimum of two years ISSM experience for SAP classified systems
  • Current/Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with software such as Splunk or ELK [other Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)], ACAS / Nessus, HBSS, eMASS or Xacta
  • Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense (Civilian), NASA/Civil or commercial space and/or US Military, with an understanding of defense, aerospace, intelligence, and adjacent markets
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work primarily at a computer for extended periods.
  • Capability to participate in on-call rotation for incident response.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work in an office or hybrid environment.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $165,010.21 - $226,889.04. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants. Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
