Sr Technical Architect- Customer facing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Technical Architect – Customer Facing based in the United States.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing architecture role focused on designing scalable, resilient, and high-performance technology solutions. You will shape complex cross-product initiatives while balancing strategic architecture with hands-on technical execution. Working across multiple engineering and product teams, you will influence technical direction and help solve some of the most challenging problems in a modern digital supply chain environment. The role offers exposure to cloud, AI/ML, IoT, microservices, and modern DevOps practices. You will act as a trusted technical advisor to senior stakeholders and customer-facing teams. Accountabilities:

  • Lead the architecture, technical design, and development of complex cross-product features and scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Translate business and customer needs into robust technical architectures that align with strategic objectives, performance requirements, and long-term product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with architects, product managers, project directors, engineers, and senior stakeholders to resolve complex technical challenges and drive effective solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor, communicating architectural decisions, trade-offs, risks, and opportunities clearly to senior leadership and customer-facing stakeholders.
  • Influence technical direction across multiple Scrum teams while ensuring consistency with architectural standards, engineering best practices, and quality expectations.
  • Mentor and guide development teams, helping engineers strengthen their technical capabilities and adopt effective architectural and development practices.
  • Leverage modern technologies including cloud platforms, AI/ML, IoT, edge computing, microservices, containerization, and CI/CD to improve solution capabilities and performance.
  • Identify and communicate application and architecture risks, developing mitigation strategies and escalating critical issues when appropriate.
  • Represent the technical organization in internal and external workshops, customer discussions, and roadmap planning sessions.
  • Contribute to functional and technical roadmaps, helping shape future product capabilities and technology investments.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    • At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring.
    • Proven experience designing and implementing complex, scalable systems, ideally within supply chain, logistics, retail, manufacturing, or another enterprise technology environment.
    • Hands-on implementation experience with at least one major supply chain solution, such as Transportation Management Systems (TMS), Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), or a comparable enterprise supply chain product.
    • Strong technical knowledge of cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Solid understanding of AI/ML, IoT, edge computing, microservices, containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD practices.
    • Ability to work across multiple engineering teams and influence technical decisions without relying solely on direct authority.
    • Strong understanding of software architecture, development methodologies, system integration, scalability, reliability, and performance optimization.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging senior leaders and external partners.
    • Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities.
    • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on technical contribution and execution.

      • Annual base salary range of $100,170–$143,896.18 USD, with individual compensation determined by location, skills, experience, certifications, and other relevant factors.
