Sr Territory Manager, Eyecare

As a Sr Territory Manager, Eyecare, you will drive commercial performance and growth across an assigned territory within the eyecare market. You will build strong, trusted relationships with healthcare professionals and key customers while delivering against sales, brand, and financial objectives. The role combines strategic territory planning with high-quality customer engagement, requiring a strong understanding of products, therapeutic areas, market dynamics, and competition. You will identify opportunities to expand customer access, strengthen brand performance, and develop influential healthcare professionals. The position also involves gathering and sharing market intelligence to support effective business and brand strategies. Success requires a proactive, customer-focused professional who can operate confidently in a dynamic, matrix-based environment.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives in line with or above established goals.
- Develop and execute effective territory and customer call plans, optimizing coverage and frequency across key accounts.
- Prepare structured pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously improve sales effectiveness.
- Effectively address customer objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing clear and appropriate calls to action.
- Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals and customers by understanding their needs, expectations, and challenges.
- Develop a strong understanding of the territory landscape, including customer profiles, market segments, competitors, disease areas, products, and clinical developments.
- Differentiate the value proposition effectively with assigned healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain relevant disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
- Capture and communicate market intelligence to field, brand, and sales leadership teams to support alignment, anticipate market changes, and optimize brand strategy and execution.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in a matrix environment to maximize business and customer opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, pharmacy, business, or a related discipline, or an equivalent qualification.
- Any government or legally required professional certifications applicable under local laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated track record of successful sales performance, preferably within relevant therapeutic areas or the eyecare/pharmaceutical sector.
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience, including physician or account-based selling, managed healthcare, sales training, or marketing, is preferred.
- Strong presentation, communication, negotiation, and customer-engagement skills.
- In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge, with the ability to serve as a trusted expert resource for relevant stakeholders.
- Strong business acumen combined with strategic and critical-thinking capabilities.
- Ability to identify different customer styles and behaviors and adapt the selling approach accordingly.
- Strong planning, organization, territory-management, and execution skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and collaborate across multiple functions.
- Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is preferred.
