Key Responsibilities
- Supervise site activities related to wet utilities installation, including water, wastewater, irrigation, and stormwater systems.
- Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Conduct site inspections, monitor construction progress, and ensure adherence to approved IFC drawings.
- Coordinate with the contractor, client representatives, and authorities to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
- Ensure all wet services works comply with local authority standards and approvals (e.g., ADM, ADDC, ADSSC, DPM).
- Assist in testing and commissioning of wet utilities and prepare snag lists and handover documentation.
- Monitor contractor performance and provide feedback on quality, safety, and adherence to timelines.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports, and daily progress logs.
- Identify any deviations or non-conformities and recommend corrective actions to the Resident Engineer.
- Attend coordination meetings, technical reviews, and provide updates on site progress.
- Verify quantities on-site, review contractor interim payment applications, and assist in variation assessments.
- Support health, safety, and environmental compliance related to wet infrastructure construction.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 10 years of experience in site supervision of wet infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of water, sewer, irrigation, and stormwater systems installation methods.
- Familiarity with UAE authority standards (ADSSC, ADDC, ADM, etc.) and site approval procedures.
- Experience with construction inspection procedures, material testing, and HSE protocols.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, contract documents, and quality assurance.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills in a multidisciplinary site environment.
