SRE Engineer
Job Summary
The DevOps / SRE practices in a hybrid work model. The role focuses on end to end ownership of scalable solutions on AWS including CI CD automation and site reliability engineering to ensure secure resilient and high performing digital platforms that support key business products and customer experiences.
Responsibilities
- Drive the DevOps / SRE activities that enable critical business capabilities and customer journeys aligned to organizational technology standards.
- Architect and refine CI CD pipelines that automate build test and deployment workflows across environments to improve release quality reduce manual effort and accelerate delivery cycles for core services and applications.
- Implement and maintain Dev Sec Ops practices across the software lifecycle to embed security controls monitoring and compliance checks into pipelines and runtime environments supporting safe and resilient technology operations.
- Configure and manage AWS services for application hosting data handling and networking to ensure reliable scalable and cost effective cloud infrastructure that meets performance and availability targets.
- Develop and maintain Terraform based infrastructure as code modules to provision update and standardize AWS resources enabling reproducible environments and controlled configuration management.
- Apply site reliability engineering principles to optimize observability incident response and error budgets supporting stable operations continuous improvement and high service uptime for production platforms.
- Collaborate with product owners architects and cross functional engineering teams to refine technical requirements create implementation plans and deliver features that clearly support business outcomes and customer value.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues across application infrastructure and pipeline layers using logs metrics and traces to identify root causes implement sustainable fixes and reduce recurrence.
- Mentor and guide engineering peers on Python development practices DevOps tooling and cloud native design patterns to uplift overall team capability and foster a culture of purposeful technical excellence.
- Partner with security and compliance stakeholders to align application and infrastructure changes with organizational controls including vulnerability management configuration standards and audit readiness.
- Optimize build deployment and runtime configurations to improve performance resource utilization and cost efficiency ensuring that solutions remain sustainable and aligned with financial and operational goals.
- Engage with stakeholders to communicate technical decisions trade offs and delivery status in clear terms enabling informed planning and alignment between engineering priorities and business needs.
- Explore and evaluate emerging DevOps SRE and cloud technologies and incorporate relevant improvements into the engineering environment to continuously enhance reliability speed and developer experience.
Qualifications
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Python for backend and service development with the ability to craft clean maintainable and testable code that supports robust integration and deployment workflows.
- Exhibit deep hands on experience with CI CD tools and practices including pipeline design automated testing and artifact management enabling reliable and repeatable software delivery across multiple environments.
- Show practical expertise in DevOps and SRE concepts including observability automation incident management and continuous improvement to sustain resilient and well monitored systems.
- Possess advanced skills working with AWS services across compute storage networking and security domains with proven experience deploying and operating production workloads in cloud environments.
- Apply solid knowledge of Terraform to design reusable modules manage state and coordinate infrastructure changes while ensuring safe controlled and auditable modifications to cloud resources.
- Bring familiarity with Dev Sec Ops approaches including static and dynamic security scanning dependency hygiene and configuration hardening to safeguard applications and infrastructure throughout the lifecycle.
- Offer domain awareness in consumer lending or broader financial services which supports better understanding of regulatory constraints data sensitivity and customer experience requirements within solution design.
