The Sr. Principal Infrastructure Engineer will play a critical role in the production support of our Internet Banking Application. This position involves overseeing release deployments, middleware operations, and problem management. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal performance and reliability of our banking applications through effective monitoring, observability, and incident management.
Responsibilities:
Provide production support for the Internet Banking Application, ensuring high availability and performance.
Manage release deployments and middleware operations, coordinating with development and operations teams.
Implement and maintain monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Lead incident management processes, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and minimizing impact on business operations.
Support OS patching activities to maintain system security and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance and reliability.
Document processes, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge sharing and training purposes.
Participate in on-call support rotation as required.
Mandatory Skills:
Proven expertise in application production support, particularly in banking or financial services.
Strong knowledge of middleware technologies and operations.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, AppDynamics, and Grafana.
Solid understanding of incident management processes and best practices.
Familiarity with OS patching and system maintenance procedures.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud-based infrastructure and operations.
Knowledge of scripting languages for automation (e.g., Python, Bash).
Understanding of ITIL framework and its application in production support.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in infrastructure management or cloud technologies are a plus.
