Staff Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing the overall accounting system for the company and its entities. He/she processes accounts payable and receivable for the company and directs the preparation of reports that summarizes and forecast company business and financial activity. Position reports directly to top financial officer.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Manage the overall accounting system for the company and its entities

· Prepare monthly P&L on QuickBooks

· Manage Accounts Payable to vendors

· Manage Accounts Receivables (local and national fleet accounts, etc.)

· Communicate overcharges, pricing issues etc. with vendors

· Ensure major payments are sent by required suspense dates (ADI, royalty, monthly/quarterly taxes, etc.)

· Review vendor invoices to ensure accurate costing for products and services

· Monitor cash flow to ensure bank accounts contain adequate funding to pay vendors

· Oversee daily cash handling from lube centers

· Manage assets on the balance sheet

· Identify questionable purchases and notify senior managers

· Prepare reports for managers as required (warranty report, battery report, etc.)

· Monitor vendors to ensure the company receives applicable rebates

· Manage flow of paperwork from lube centers to the office

· Comply with Alamitos Management Group Code of Ethics.
