Description

ProCo LLC is a management services organization supporting five healthcare service lines across metro Atlanta, including AICA Orthopedics — Atlanta’s premier orthopedic and surgical group. AICA operates 21 clinics and 3 surgery centers, providing comprehensive musculoskeletal care across orthopedics, physical therapy, chiropractic, neurology, and interventional spine. With 400+ team members and 25 years serving the Atlanta community, ProCo is in an active growth phase — expanding locations and investing in the infrastructure to support it.

The role

You'll own a defined set of reconciliations and journal entries in the monthly close and keep our general ledger accurate. You'll work directly with the Accounting Manager and support the controls, reporting and budgeting work that leadership relies on. This is a hands-on role for someone 1–3 years into their accounting career who wants to build depth in multi-entity, healthcare accounting.

What you'll do

Month-end and year-end close

  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids and reclasses
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts monthly
  • Prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations and flux analyses of the balance sheet and income statement
  • Record and reconcile intercompany transactions; support the monthly consolidation
  • Help prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules

Accounts payable and receivable

  • Code and review non-PO invoices for accuracy and submit them for approval
  • Set up and close corporate utility and service vendor accounts, following approved procedures
  • Bill and reconcile ancillary and miscellaneous receivables

Reporting, budgeting and controls

  • Load and maintain budgets in the general ledger; prepare budget-to-actual variance reports
  • Pull and analyze financial data for routine and ad hoc requests from operations and leadership
  • Follow and help document accounting policies, procedures and internal controls
  • Support external audit and tax requests with schedules and documentation

What you bring

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, in public accounting or corporate/industry roles
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Hands-on experience with a general ledger system
  • Advanced Excel: lookups, pivot tables, and building reconciliations from raw data
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to hit close deadlines
  • Clear written and verbal communication with non-finance colleagues

Preferred

  • Multi-entity, intercompany or consolidation experience
  • Healthcare, multi-site or private-equity-backed company experience
  • Progress toward a CPA

Benefits

  • Medical, dental and vision insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Paid time off
