Staff Accountant

The Staff Accountant position reports directly to the Controller and requires skills in financial accounting, reporting, audit, and compliance. The position also requires strong accounting aptitude, ability to work independently on varied assignments, have well developed interpersonal skills, and be able to problem solve in a diverse environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Aid in day to day of accounting functions including, but not limited to, Year-end / Month-end close process, balance sheet account reconciliations, P&L report generation

• Ownership of the accounts payable process, including recording and reconciliation of the company credit card transactions

• Prepare monthly payroll reporting for our UK employees on assignment

• Posting and reconciliation of client payment receipts

• Assist in bi-monthly payroll process

• Assist in preparation of external audit requirements and tax filings

• Assist in the company’s quarterly reforecasting and annual budgetary processes

• Ad hoc projects

Essential Education and Experience:

• Accounting or Finance degree required

• 1-3 years related business experience

• Advanced Excel skills required (i.e. pivot tables, vlookups, sumifs etc)

• Travel industry experience a plus

• Public accounting experience a plus
