Staff Accountant II (3432)

As a Staff Accountant II at Father Joe’s Villages, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the financial accuracy and integrity that supports our organization’s work. You’ll take ownership of assigned accounts, manage monthly reconciliations and journal entries, investigate discrepancies, and help ensure financial records are complete, reliable, and ready for reporting and audit review.

Working closely with the accounting team and colleagues across departments, you’ll turn financial data into meaningful information, resolve accounting issues, and identify opportunities to improve processes and strengthen internal controls. The Role

• Manage assigned general ledger accounts, prepare journal entries, and complete monthly reconciliations and close activities.

• Analyze account balances and financial variances, investigate discrepancies, and resolve errors to maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare account schedules, financial analyses, and supporting documentation for internal reporting and year-end audits.

• Reconcile intercompany and cash accounts, research unusual activity, and resolve outstanding items.

• Partner with internal departments to address accounting issues and ensure transactions are properly recorded and supported.

• Apply accounting policies and internal controls while identifying opportunities to improve processes, strengthen accuracy, and increase efficiency.

• Maintain accounting procedures and provide guidance to teammates on assigned processes and systems.
