Staff Accountant – Job Description

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant supports accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis. This role contributes to accurate financial data, efficient close processes, and actionable insights for business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily AR/AP activities, cash applications, and reconciliations.
• Prepare journal entries and monthly accruals.
• Support month-end close and maintain accurate reconciliations.
• Analyze inventory movements and support cost accounting processes.
• Prepare and maintain operational and financial reports.
• Support forecasting and budgeting activities.
• Maintain master data (customers, vendors, inventory).
• Drive process improvements and reporting enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with ERP systems preferred
