Staff AI Engineer, Robot Autonomy
Summary
Design, train, and deploy end-to-end learning-based policies for home robots, working directly with founders on the entire pipeline from data collection to real hardware deployment. Core technologies include behavior cloning, learning from demonstration, reinforcement learning, diffusion transformers, and robotics fundamentals (kinematics, dynamics, control, ROS2).
The entire learning pipeline — from data collection architecture to action policies for dexterous manipulation and safe physical AI. You will work directly with the founders to decide what we build, how we build it, and what we prioritize.
You have:
- Design, train and deploy end-to-end learning-based policies for home robots
- Ship autonomous robot skills to customers’ homes
- Implement learning pipeline for distributed, continual learning on a robot fleet deployed in customers’ homes
You have:
- Taught physical robots to do tasks autonomously, end-to-end— data collection → training → deployment on real hardware
- Have hands-on experience with BC, LfD, RL, DiT, RTC, VLA, WAM and solid theoretical understanding thereof
- Strong robotics fundamentals: kinematics/dynamics, control, ROS2.
- Strong software-engineering skills
- High levelof ownership, pragmatic system thinking, strong interdisciplinary communication skills
- You are no a**hole
- Experience with NVIDIA Jetson platforms
- Experience with bi-manual mobile manipulators
- Experience with compliant actuation systems
- Experience building scalable MLsystems
- Publications or open-source contributions in robot learning
